- Physische Audio-Eingabe-/Ausgabegeräte verfügen über einen entsprechenden AudioPort.
- Software- Audio-Ausgabe-/-Eingabestreams werden als AudioMixPort (untergeordnete Klasse von AudioPort) dargestellt.
Das TIF verwendet dann AudioPort-Informationen für die Audio-Routing-API.
Anforderungen

TV-Tuner mit Lautsprecherausgang
Wenn ein TV-Tuner aktiv wird, erstellt die Audio-Routing-API einen Audio-Patch zwischen dem Tuner und dem Standardausgang (z. B. dem Lautsprecher). Die Tuner-Ausgabe erfordert keine Dekodierung, aber die endgültige Audioausgabe wird mit dem Software-Ausgabestrom gemischt.
HDMI OUT während Live-TV
Ein Benutzer schaut Live-TV und wechselt dann zum HDMI-Audioausgang (Intent.ACTION_HDMI_AUDIO_PLUG). Das Ausgabegerät aller Ausgabeströme wechselt zum HDMI_OUT-Port, und der TIF-Manager ändert den Sink-Port des vorhandenen Tuner-Audio-Patches zum HDMI_OUT-Port.
